With the recent trend of failing Air Jordan releases, it’s time to check out one that actually did good in the market. According to the recent ShoeFAX analysis, the Air Jordan 6 “Spizike” was more successful than most of the recent Jordan Brand releases this year. This iteration of the Air Jordan 6 was popular because of its ravishing red leather appearance with green accents laid throughout. White on the midsole and an icy blue sole give the sneaker a fresh clean appearance. Finished off by a dope Spike Lee inspired graphic on the inner lining called the “History of Flight.”
If you don’t remember the release, the sneaker hit retailers back in August for only $170 a piece. ShoeFAX analyzed sales of both Kixify and eBay listings to show us exactly how the Air Jordan 6 “Spizike” did upon release. Taking a look a couple months before the actual knowing of a release, the sneaker hit presales at a high of $800! After the sneaker official received a release date, sales dropped to $400 then eventually dipped to a little below $300 which stayed that way after being released. The sneaker is now at an average resell value of $284.69 (Over $100 above retail) and is still a hot commodity among sneakerheads.
